A couple of days ago Former Philippine President Joseph Estrada formally announced his candidacy for President in next year’s National Elections. His running mate who will run for Vice President will be Mayor Jejomar Binay of Makati City. The announcement was held in Tondo, Manila where most, if not all, of his movies made. Around 20,000 people came to cheer and support the Former Philippine President.
The question now is, will the Supreme Court or the Commission on Elections allow Former President Erap to run? Currently, their is an issue with his eligibility to run again for President because the Philippine Constitution only allows a President to serve for one term. I guess, I’ll just leave this part of the discussion to the Supreme Court but if I were to decide then I would let Former President Estrada run in 2010.
Why? Not because I support him but because it will be the ultimate way to test how far or how mature Filipinos have come since the last time Former President Estrada was in office. If Former President Estrada loses in 2010 then there is definitely hope for us Filipinos. It will also show that we learn from history and that we are mature enough to do the right thing. If he wins then we can all just pack up and migrate to China. Kidding aside, if he wins then it just shows that we never learn, that Ninoy and Former President Cory died for nothing, that we are not mature enough to make the right decisions and that there is clearly no hope for us all.
That is why I would let Former President Joseph Estrada to run in 2010 so that we can prove to the world that we have learned from our past and that we are ready to change for the betterment of all. Filipinos can do much, much better and we deserve much, much better but we have to make the right choice. Please, let us not waste this chance this coming 2010.

What??? payag ka parin tumakbo si ERAP? hindi kapa nadala sa nangyari dati o bulag kalang talaga? hahaha lolz
kung si ERAP maging president sa kangkungan tayo popolutin, ni hindi nga marunong mag plano yan eh kain lang ata alam niyan at saka sugal hahaha

“we are ready to change for the betterment of all”… the question is, do we know what is better for all of us? kasi mahirap i consolidate kung ano ang gusto ng marami. (ung isang commenter mo nga di naintindihan ung post mo e… or di binasa ung buong post mo. Tsk! tsk!)
I think we should start from changing within, then, don’t stop there. Change the things that we can change. Masyado na kasi tayong dependent sa mga pulitko, mga manloloko din naman.
