I don’t know who first coined and tagged this term to our new President but I like it. PNOY is read as Pinoy which is a local slang for the word Pilipino. I like it because it, kind of, bridges the gap between the Poor Masses (us) and the President. Unlike, PGMA which sounded more like a bad advertisement for a local Philippine Television Network, PNOY sounded more down-to-earth which is exactly how President Noynoy Aquino presents himself on and off camera.

PNOY’s first week as President of the Philippines had its ups and downs but that’s to be expected. PGMA, like Marcos, left the country in disarray (huge debt, political killing, corruption cases and scandals, midnight appointments and many unexplained actions done by the former President). She might have helped a few people (friends, family and supporters) but, in general, the country isn’t doing good. PNOY and his band of Merry Men will definitely have their hands full in putting everything back in perspective. Fighting and eliminating corruption within our government systems is not an easy task specially when those who will be affected are people in power.

If we look back at previous elections and campaigns then we would see that many of those politicians who campaigned against corruption in government would later turn out to be corrupt themselves. It’s kind of ironic, don’t you think? Corruption is like one of the most overused word during election campaigns. Fortunately to his credit, PNOY had never been involved in any allegation of corruption and, currently, he is not showing any signs that he would let himself be involved in any. Seriously, if he can deliver on his campaign promise of fighting and eliminating corruption in our government systems then it will be a huge win for all of us Filipinos. If not then we could always try again in six years. Ha ha ha!

Anyway, I am very positive that we will be seeing an administration that will be very different from the previous administration. I feel that with PNOY as our President, we will finally have a government that is ran by the people for the people. Of course, the forces of evil are still there, lurking in power, waiting for the right moment to strike. PNOY will not be able to fight them alone that’s why we must do what we can to ensure those evil forces never gets their way. I’m quite sure you know who these forces of evil are. *wink*

It seems that Koala Bear has a problem with his addition and subtraction regarding his electronic or automated “dagdag-bawas” expose. In the episode of Failon Ngayon last Saturday the votes subtracted from each Presidential Candidate were listed and were added up. The total was 15 Million votes.

This is where the problem started because according to Koala Bear all 15 Million votes were added to Noynoy Aquino’s votes but, as of the episode’s airing, Noynoy only has a total of 14,012,761 votes. Now, if you will deduct the alleged 15 Million that was added from the 14 Million that Noynoy had then the difference will be “negative 987,239″ votes.

WTH!!! How can you even have a negative number? This claim alone proves beyond reasonable doubt that this Koala Bear is lying. Even if they say that they added 14 Million to Noynoy’s votes it will still be unbelievable. What? Nobody voted for Noynoy Aquino?

You know what’s worst about all this? There are politicians (mostly losing politicians) that seem to believe in what this particular Koala Bear is saying. Seriously! How can they even believe a Koala Bear? Have they even seen a talking or speaking Koala Bear? These politicians should be caged with Koala Bears.

A Koala Bear suddenly appeared from out of nowhere and decided to talk about their operation of Election Fraud and Massive Cheating. When asked why he came out to expose what he claimed they did in the recently concluded May 10, 2010 elections? He said that they haven’t yet received any form of payment and that is why he came out.

Come on! That alone is UNBELIEVABLE! If I were going to do something illegal and offer it to someone then I would at least get a downpayment specially when we are talking of BILLIONS of pesos. This Koala Bear is supposed to be so intelligent that he and his team were able to manipulate the result of the last election yet they are stupid enough NOT to ask for an ADVANCE payment?

What they are doing is a Classic Political Strategy and it’s pretty simple and quite very obvious too. If they CAN’T use the system to CHEAT their way into office then, as a last and desperate attempt, they will resort to or try to DISCREDIT the Election Process. Of course, the Filipino People will not fall to such trickery and deception.

Koala Bear is definitely just making up a story to stir up the public and to discredit the Election Process. Too bad his story is full of holes that you can clearly see right through it. Koala Bear should have plugged up the holes in his story first before he wore the mask and spoke in-front of a camera.

Everyone dreams of a better life and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that but one Philippine Presidential Candidate dreams too much that he dreamed that he was once poor, swam in a sea of trash and spent Christmas on the streets of Manila. Are any of these true? Unfortunately, these were all just that, DREAMS!

In the episode of “Kandidato” where Manny Villar was the guest candidate, one of the host, Arnold Clavio, asked the Senator if he had swam in a sea of trash and spent Christmas on the streets of Manila. On the first question, the Senator said as a young boy, he and his friends would go out during a rain or storm and bathe on it. On the second question, the Senator said that during the Christmas season, they would go out very early, around midnight, and buy goods (“hipon” or shrimps) to sell for that day which is very common with fish or seafood vendors because they need to get the goods fresh.

In another instance, the Senator even paraded or showed to the media their old house in Tondo to prove that they were poor. Unfortunately, it only proved that he was lying. Their old house in Tondo has 3 levels. Poor families don’t live in houses with 3 levels unless, of course, they are sharing it with 20 other families.

He is so convinced that his dream of being poor is true that he even used his own brother’s death to persuade other people to believe him. He claimed that they were so poor that they couldn’t even afford to buy his brother medicine but records showed that his brother was admitted to a private hospital, besides, during those times there wasn’t any treatment yet for leukemia.

Land Grabbing Anomalies Attributed to Villar Companies

The new neighbourhood was called Paradise Park Village — 7.2 hectares of barren lands situated in Barangay San Vicente in San Pedro, Laguna. As more settlers had streamed in from other provinces, the land tenants — who had originally planted root crops and banana trees, and occasionally tended cattle — eventually found work in an adjacent piggery farm. By 1984, the entire property had been bought by Maximino Argana, who, it later turned out, had been a Marcos crony.

Which explains why, in the heady aftermath of the EDSA revolution, the Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG) chose to sequester the entire area altogether. What is more difficult to understand is how — and on what grounds — Crown Asia (a Vista Land company, the 2/3 supermajority of which belongs to the family of Manny Villar) was able to acquire the properties in 2002, using a title under the name of a certain Jose Nuñez. From that point onwards, guards began to monitor the movements of the residents in a 2.18-hectare zone in particular (Lot 157), which housed around 205 families. Almost overnight, it would seem, a giant wall had been erected around this perimeter, preventing the tenants from repairing their homes or building new structures. Bulacan farmers decry delay in Villar ‘landgrabbing’ case

Farmers and landowners from Norzagaray, Bulacan have decried the delay in a plunder case accusing presidential candidate Manuel Villar Jr. of “technical land grabbing.”

Filed in September 26, 2008, the graft and plunder cases claim that lands owned by the farmers “were mortgaged by Villar’s companies…using dubious titles,” the farmers said in a statement issued on Thursday.

However, the cases have not been acted upon despite repeated follow-ups, said the same statement distributed during a Quezon City press conference organized by the farmers.

Companies owned by Villar, the Nacionalista Party standard bearer, and his wife, Cynthia, have engaged in “technical land grabbing,” Attorney Peter Anthony V. Rafanan told GMANews.TV, referring to the case filed by Gina Jarvina and Valentino L. Amador.

THE DUMAGATS AND THE VILLAR LAND GRAB

A few weeks ago, a group of mostly Dumagat farmers made allegations that presidential candidate Manny Villar and his wife Cynthia grabbed 480 hectares of their land in Norzagaray, Bulacan. According to the farmers, Villar and his wife Cynthia — through their companies, Capitol Development Bank and Manila Brickworks, Inc. — obtained a loan from the Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas (Central Bank of the Philippines) and secured it with the farmers’ land. When the Villars failed to repay the loan, BSP foreclosed the property. In September 2008, the farmers filed a plunder case against the Villars with the Office of the Ombudsman. They also filed criminal charges against them for swindling which is still pending in court.

Capitol Development Bank (now Optimum Development Bank) and Manila Brickworks, Inc. have interlocking directories. Mrs. Villar was the president of Capitol Development Bank at the time the Norzagaray property was mortgaged to BSP. READ FULL STORY

The title of this post is the subject of an e-mail that I received today. The e-mail was sent by someone named Lane whose e-mail address was lane640@pagbabago2010.com. Obviously, this person is a SPAMMER because my other e-mail accounts also received the same e-mail.

The e-mail contains medical information of a person who was diagnosed as suffering from Major Depressive Disorder and, from what I gather from the e-mail, the person they are attributing it to is none other than Presidential Candidate Senator Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III. History of Present Illness: The patient is a 36-year old single male with a history of profuse salivation and labile moods since his childhood. He was observed to be sleeping excessively, disoriented and confusing family and household member’s name. When interviewed at the time of psychiatric assessment, the patient said he had difficulty in speech, poor concentration, impaired thinking and melancholia brought about by the stresses of his work and the break-up with his flight attendant girlfriend. He also claimed he felt clumsy and uncoordinated. He also describes what appeared to be a deep sense of foreboding and feeling that the “world was coming to an end.”

Current Symptoms:

1. Psychomotor retardation
2. Slowed gait and activity
3. Lack of initiative
4. Melancholia
5. Fatigue
6. Lack of self-confidence
7. Lack of sexual interest

Substance Abuse History:

* Smoker = Yes, up to two (2) packs a day
* Drugs = Yes, teen-age experimentation with Marijuana and various pills
* ETOH = Yes, solitary drinker

MMSE

The Psychologist conducting the interviews noticed that the patient would occasionally walk slowly and aimlessly around the room when being interviewed. He appeared inattentive, vague, non-spontaneous and detached in interactions, but passively followed simple commands. He appeared disoriented. There was some difficulty in communicating due to his deep depression and melancholia. On mental state examination, he was a lanky man of medium height who was mildly psychomotor retarded with a latency of verbal replies, and a slowness of movement. He was preoccupied with his inner thoughts, brooded and felt melancholy. He appeared quite elevated and irritable when he spoke of the loss he was feeling when he recounted his relationship with his girlfriend. He expressed a poorly-formed grandiose delusion that the world was ending and described feelings of foreboding but no disturbance in any other sensory modality. The patient was oriented in person and place, with only very mild impair
ment of time. Attention and concentration deficits were evident, though much in the slightest and confirmed on formal testing that he had minor difficulty in counting down by seven from 100 and could not readily spell some words backwards. Registration and short term memory were intact on testing but he was often distracted and distant. There was evidence of dysphagia, mild difficulty with three-step commands, concretism and trial-constructional dyspraxia (he could not copy complex diagrams). No confabulation or remote memory deficits were identified. His Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) score totaled 28/30. No cognitive impairments. He denied being in need of medical assistance and explained his presence in the school as being due to his sister’s concerns, but did not appear suspicious of possible motives or irritated by his presence in the department. He denied that he had any cognitive deficits. He said he required medication and dietary modification, but did not acce
pt medication offered in fact requiring detailed explanation on why the medication had to be taken.

In as much as the patient exhibits the following symptoms (1) Depressed mood (i.e. feeling sad and empty) most of the day for 10 days, (2) Markedly diminished interest on pleasure in almost all activities (including lack of sexual interest) most of the day for 10 days, (3) A noticeable fluctuation of appetite most of the day for 10 days, (4) Psychomotor agitation or retardation (i.e. increased restlessness) most of the day for 10 days, (5) A diminished ability to concentrate ordering on indecisiveness most of the day for 10 days, (6) Insomia nearly everyday, (7) Fatigue nearly everyday , And (8) a feeling of foreboding everyday. He is diagnosed as suffering from Major Depressive Disorder.

True or not, SPAMMING this information is an obvious act of desperation not only that SPAMMING is very unethical and if this was ordered by a rival Presidential Candidate then that candidate should never be allowed in any public office. Besides, was this so called medical information even legit or authenticated?

Up until now, I am still undecided who to vote for as our next President if other Presidential Candidate continues to resort to this kind of desperate underhanded tactics against Senator Benigno Aquino III then me and my family may lean in favor of him comes election time.

I have seen many versions of this particular video but today I think I have found the best version of it. In this version, Hitler furiously scolds his cohorts about Presidential Candidate Manny Villar’s C-5 Road Scandal and how it benefited the Senator’s Real Estate Properties.

It seems that Hitler wants Senator Manny Villar to become our country’s next President because, according to the video subtitles, he believes that only the Senator can help him destroy our country. Ha ha ha!

While watching the local news today, I learned that Presidential Candidate, Senator Manny Villar, is up in the latest Survey Ratings. Well, it wasn’t a bit surprising because Senator Manny Villar is practically burning millions of pesos in his campaign. How? Just watch television and you’ll find out and it doesn’t matter which channel or network it is too.

Everyday his political/campaign advertisements are shown in every channel, in every network and in every corner of the country and it’s not just one ad, it’s a variety of ads.  Ads with street children and poor people, ads with songs and ads with celebrities like Michael V (Bitoy) and Dolphy. In fact, he has the most campaign ads aired everyday amongst all the Presidential Candidates and if you are a television watcher then I’m certain that you have seen his ads not once but many times a day.

Not only that, Senator Manny Villar is also using his money to sponsor a segment in Eat Bulaga where one of his endorser, Michael V, is a regular host. The name of the segment is Stop My Hirap and Manny Villar is written all over it. In this segment or portion of the show, the audience are asked to write down in a piece of “orange” colored form or paper what their wish is (orange is the official color used by Senator Manny Villar). The paper is then placed inside a jar where one lucky person’s wish is randomly drawn and read. The person is then called down and is asked to play a game of roulette where he can win cash and groceries.

The segment, Stop My Hirap, is not directly attributed to Manny Villar but it’s very obvious that he is behind it. I don’t watch WOWOWEE but I was told that they also have a segment sponsored by this particular Presidentiable.

Used Them As They Use You

As with most politicians, Senator Manny Villar is using the poor to fuel his presidential campaign and he is willing to give away money to further his cause. Now, if he is willing to give away money, millions of it, then why not take it? The masses should stop getting used by these politicians. Instead, the people should start using these politicians for their own benefit and when I say “use them” I don’t mean to put them in office. NO!

What I meant by use them is this, take their money if they are giving them away. Write to them and asked for assistance, for medical help, for financial aide, for work, for whatever it is that they can give you. Milk them like cows BUT never vote for them. Never put them in office because, in return, they will milk the country for everything it got.

The problem with us Filipinos is that we have a very, very strong sense of gratitude specially the poor people (me included). We feel that we should give something back or that we are indebted to these politicians. I tell you, we are NOT indebted to them. The money they are spending are NOT their money and if they are then they will get it back a hundred folds once they are in office.

During an election year, try to put aside your sense of gratitude and MILK these politicians for everything they got. If you can get a bag of grocery from them then get it. If you can grab 10,000 pesos from them then grab them. If they are giving away medicines, food, etc. take it, take it, take it but never ever make the mistake of voting for them.

Take whatever you can from these politicians BUT vote for someone who can truly help the country. Vote for someone who has nothing to offer you but his sincerity to lead and reform the country. Vote for someone whose credibility has never been questioned and has never been involved in any form of corruption.

Open Your Mind

To find out who this person is, you must simply open your mind and READ, WATCH and LISTEN.  These politicians have websites, brochures, flyers, documents, papers, etc. containing information about them. Read, watch and listen to learn what they did in the past, what they’re doing in the present and what they plan to do in the future. After all the reading, watching, listening and learning everything you can about all of them then decide who among them can take this country forward.

Don’t be blinded by the fancy television commercials with their catchy campaign theme songs. Don’t be blinded by the money they are throwing all around you. Don’t be blinded by their looks and appearance because not everyone who looks like an Angel is an Angel. Don’t be blinded by their words because their words are rehearsed lines full of lies and deceit and are mostly not written by them but for them.

This coming National and Local Elections, don’t think about YOU and what they can do for YOU. Think about what they can do for our country. If you truly think that Senator Manny Villar can lead this country to progress then with all your heart vote for him but if you are voting for him because you simply like him or that he helped you in some way or that he looks good on TV or whatever petty reasons it may be then please don’t. Again, this goes for all the candidates in both local and national positions.

Personally, I haven’t made up my mind yet about who I will vote for in the coming National and Local Election. It’s a very important decision and I’m going to put a lot of time in analyzing each candidate before deciding and, NO, I bag of grocery plus 25,000 pesos will not affect my decision.

The other day, my wife was talking about Noynoy Aquino’s new Television Ad. She said it featured a lot of stars from both the Kapuso and Kapamilya networks. I was not able to comment about since I have not seen it yet at that time so I spent the entire day watching local television just to see what she was talking about. I don’t know if I missed it or it wasn’t shown anymore because I never saw it aired.

Having internet access at home, I was able to view it on YouTube which is what I should have done in the first place. Waiting for it to be aired on local television was silly and stupid. LOL!

What can I say about the Noynoy Aquino’s TV Ad? Well, for a Political Ad it was pretty well made and the song which was sung by Ms. Regine Velasquez is very catchy. It actually feels more like an MTV than a Political Ad because it didn’t contain any substance at all. It impart no information whatsoever but, in a way, it showed unity since stars from both the Kapuso and Kapamilya networks took part in the MTV, errr, Ad or Infomercial as others call it.

I also can’t help but notice that while both ERAP and Villar use and target the poor for their campaigns, it seems that Noynoy is targeting the middle to uppler class of society. As much as I don’t want it to become a CLASS WAR but if Noynoy continues with this type of campaign materials then it will be just like that. If that will be the case then I don’t think he will win.

Rather than spending time filming MTVs, which is commonly done by TRAditional POliticians, Noynoy should focus on real issues that has impede our country’s growth. Using celebrities to boost his campaign just shows how weak as a Presidential Candidate he truly is.

A couple of days ago Former Philippine President Joseph Estrada formally announced his candidacy for President in next year’s National Elections. His running mate who will run for Vice President will be Mayor Jejomar Binay of Makati City. The announcement was held in Tondo, Manila where most, if not all, of his movies made. Around 20,000 people came to cheer and support the Former Philippine President.

The question now is, will the Supreme Court or the Commission on Elections allow Former President Erap to run? Currently, their is an issue with his eligibility to run again for President because the Philippine Constitution only allows a President to serve for one term. I guess, I’ll just leave this part of the discussion to the Supreme Court but if I were to decide then I would let Former President Estrada run in 2010.

Why? Not because I support him but because it will be the ultimate way to test how far or how mature Filipinos have come since the last time Former President Estrada was in office. If Former President Estrada loses in 2010 then there is definitely hope for us Filipinos. It will also show that we learn from history and that we are mature enough to do the right thing. If he wins then we can all just pack up and migrate to China. Kidding aside, if he wins then it just shows that we never learn, that Ninoy and Former President Cory died for nothing, that we are not mature enough to make the right decisions and that there is clearly no hope for us all.

That is why I would let Former President Joseph Estrada to run in 2010 so that we can prove to the world that we have learned from our past and that we are ready to change for the betterment of all. Filipinos can do much, much better and we deserve much, much better but we have to make the right choice. Please, let us not waste this chance this coming 2010.
