    Willie Revillame of WOWOWEE Talks on TV5 with Cristy Fermin

    “Controversy Creates Cash” is this what Willie Revillame is trying to accomplish? The host of Philippine’s Top Rating Noon Time Show WOWOWEE recently challenged/demanded/threatened ABS-CBN in public that he will resign if ABS-CBN didn’t fire Jobert Sucaldito of DZMM. Willie Revillame didn’t appreciate Jobert Sucaldito’s commentaries about how the show selects its contestants.

    As of this writing, Willie Revillame is on “indefinite” leave from the show but yesterday he appeared on TV5 in a special interview with Cristy Fermin. In the interview, Willie Revillame said that he does not miss the show, WOWOWEE. He also said that he is still undecided on what to do but he clearly said that he is still with ABS-CBN (see above video). (more…)

    ABS-CBN’s Showtime Suspended Again!

    Just learned today that ABS-CBN’s Top Rating Show “Showtime” is once again suspended by the MTRCB.

    After being back on air last January 18, the Movie & Television Review & Classification Board (MTRCB) has ordered a 1-month suspension of ABS-CBN’s show “Showtime.”

    The suspension is still related to the episode where one of the show’s guest host, Rosanna Roces, bashed the Teachers for not teaching properly and labeled them “repeaters”. (more…)

    ABS-CBN’s Showtime Suspended

    My first time watching Showtime was during the Christmas break last December 2009. I must admit that it was a very entertaining show and its high ratings can attest to that. In fact, SiS got cancelled because of Showtime.

    Unfortunately, Showtime was slapped with a 20 days suspension by the MTRCB. One of the Guest Judge, namely Rosanna Roces, insulted and belittled our Teachers in one of her commentary. See the video after the jump. (more…)

    Song of the Prince on QTV 11

    My wife loves watching Korean Dramas on local TV and, since we only have one television, I am forced to watch them with her. I don’t like many of them but the ones I like most are Jumong, The Legend, Jewel in the Palace and Song of the Prince.

    Currently, Song of the Prince is aired everyday at 3:00pm on QTV 11, a local channel here in the Philippines. It is a story of a Young Prince who didn’t know he was a prince and was raised as a commoner. He fell in-love with Princess whom later became his Queen. (more…)

    Babylon 5 Season 1

    Yesterday, I finished watching the entire first season of Babylon 5 including the pilot episode, The Gathering. My interest in Babylon 5 was ignited after watching a series of telemovies about it in a local cable channel (In The Beginning, Third Space, River of Souls and Call to Arms). After watching the telemovies, I then had this feeling or craving to learn more about Babylon 5 and what better way to that is by watching the original television series.

    Unfortunately, Babylon 5 has been long canceled and I don’t think it will make a return anytime soon. Now how can I watch it? Fortunately, my search lead me to a Japanese video hosting website much like YouTube. There I found, not only the first season but the entire 5 seasons of Babylon 5. (more…)
