Tonight two Davids face-off in American Idol’s Final Performance Night and it’s not unexpected that we will see the two Davids there. Early on in the competition, I have always had this feeling that David Archuleta will make it to the finals and, guess what, he did and seeing David Cook there is not surprising because he has been performing really strong since day one. Now, the two Davids must put everything on the line and go all out if they want to become the next American Idol.

I feel that David Cook has an advantage over David Archuleta in terms of skills and you will see it during each Performance Night. David Cook is very consistent and really makes the song he sings his own. I’m not saying that David A. has no skills but we’ve seen him fell short in a couple of performances. Let’s just hope that he doesn’t fall short tonight.

Between the two, I’m still cheering for my favorite which is David Archuleta. I love what David Cook does with his music but I just feel that David A. would truly represent what an American Idol is. He has tons of charisma, he is very talented and his singing connects with the listeners.

Still, I will not make a prediction on who will win this year’s American Idol because both Davids deserve to win. If there can be two Idols then these two are them but there can be only one so, all I can do is ask everyone to PLEASE vote for David Archuleta.

Checking out DialIdol.com, its prediction tool has David C. winning over David A. but not very much. Besides, the two haven’t performed yet so those numbers can still change. I hope it changes in favor of David A.

I guess I will just have to watch tonight’s performance to get a better outlook on how the people will vote.

Thanks to YouTube, I was able to watch all of the performances in yesterday’s American Idol episode and I must say that this week belongs to David Archuleta once again. I’m not familiar (because I’m not really a Dolly Parton fan) with the song David sang but he sang it beautifully.

As for Ramiele Malubay, well, her performance wasn’t bad, actually it was good but it was also not amazing. Well, at least for me it wasn’t.

Don’t get me wrong, I like Ramiele because she was really good back in the Top 24 and I still like her but right now, she is not singing the right songs. You know, songs that will really showcase her singing prowess. I know that she is not David Cook who can make wonders by rearranging the songs he performs but I think if she can just stick to the orginal melody and choose the right songs then I feel that it would be enough to get her to the Top 3, at most.

Anyway, I went to check DialIdol.com’s prediction for this week and I’m sad to say that Ramiele Malubay is currently placed down there at the bottom. I’m not saying that DialIdol.com’s prediction is 100% accurate but if you are looking for something to measure how America voted then I think DialIdol.com’s prediction is a good gauge to use (again, it’s not 100% accurate).

I really want to give Ramiele another week specially since next week will be songs by Mariah Carey. Does it matter if next week is Mariah Carey Week? Well, yes, because she is a Mariah Carey fan and I believe that she’ll perform better if she’ll sing songs that she really likes.

So, here’s to hoping that Ramiele can make it to next week and if by chance you do survive today’s elimination then please Ramiele show the entire America what you can really do.
